Just a quick thought on Syria and strategy.
Why would a member of Congress state weeks before the debate on Syria that they are “stridently opposed to action in Syria?”
By stating your strident, rigid, unflinching opposition to military action in Syria, you have in fact removed yourself from the decision making process and in turn removed yourself from the ability to shape and form the decision.
A quick conversation with Congressional Leadership about Syria:
“You’re solidly against and there is no changing your strident, rigid opinion?”
Lesson for Politicians
If Obama has taught us something, it is never back yourself into a corner of your own making!
